This Information Text is provided by Awen for Us, acting as Data Controller in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. It has been prepared to inform you about the processing of your data.

We use the information of our members, volunteers and e-bulletin subscribers to announce our events, projects, news and campaign announcements in accordance with legal provisions. You can always object to the use of your information in this way by sending a short written notice to the address below.

As sending e-bulletins, we respect the privacy of our members, volunteers and e-bulletin subscribers. This policy has been written to determine the use of privacy and security of our customers and members. Confidentiality is one of the most important policies of the e-bulletin. We do not share any information about the identities and characteristics of our members directly with third parties.

Your e-mail address is only used to send you the information you request. As part of your use of our e-mail marketing software, e-newsletter sending allows you to choose whether or not to receive certain information from the campaign messenger. It does not sell, rent or lend our contact lists (including member, volunteer, subscriber information) to any other company by sending e-bulletins. There is an option to unsubscribe in every e-bulletin you request. Cancellation requests are made within a few minutes and information is not sent to users who request not to receive the specified information from then on.

We send each new user a welcome email to verify their account and confirm their password and username. Our members, volunteers, e-bulletin subscribers receive information about projects, events, campaigns, products, special offers and a newsletter from time to time. To respect the privacy of our users, we give them the option not to receive such communications. Anyone can cancel their subscription via the cancellation mechanism at the bottom of the e-bulletin.

 

E-Newsletter

When the user requests to subscribe to the newsletter, we ask for contact information such as name and email address. For the privacy of our users, we provide a cancellation mechanism at the bottom of each e-mail so that they can opt out of receiving this E-newsletter.

 

Service Announcements

On rare occasions, service related announcements may need to be sent. For example, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we may email all users regarding the issue. Or we can send information/clarification emails about our updated policies. Users can choose not to receive these emails, but can reactivate their newsletter subscription later.

 

Web Page Usage Information

We evaluate your IP address in order to diagnose potential problems with our server and to operate our website and to provide various pro-active fraud measures. We do not link your IP address to any personal information. To determine which areas our users are using, we can track by using the movement in those areas. E-newsletter submission does not keep track of what individuals read, but rather the number of times each page is visited. This enables Awen for Us to deliver a superior and informative web experience for you.

LIGHTING ABOUT KVKK

We would like to inform you about the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), which was enacted in order to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, especially the privacy of private life, and to determine the obligations of real and legal persons who process personal data.

Within the scope of the law, personal data is defined as “any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person”; Processing refers to “obtaining, recording, storing, preserving, changing, rearranging, disclosing, transferring, taking over, making available, classifying personal data by fully or partially automated or non-automatic means provided that it is a part of any data recording system. or any kind of operation performed on the data, such as preventing its use.

  1. The Purpose of the Clarification Text and the Data Controller Position of Our Economic Enterprise:

Awen for Us presents the following explanations to the attention of our customers and third parties who use our website and/or mobile applications in order to fulfill their obligation to enlighten from Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law (“KVKK”) in terms of personal data regarding customers.

 

Awen for Us reserves the right to update the text of this Statement on the Protection of Personal Data at any time within the framework of changes that can be made in the current legislation.

  1. Purpose of Processing and Transfer of Personal Data of Customers:

     Your personal data is used for the following purposes:

  • Confirming the identity information of the shopper/shopper via the website/mobile applications,

  • To save the address and other necessary information for communication,

  • To communicate with our customers about the conditions, current status and updates of the contracts we have concluded under the relevant articles of the Law on Distance Sales Contract and Consumer Protection, and to provide the necessary information,

  • To provide information to public officials on matters related to public safety upon request and in accordance with the legislation,

  • To provide our customers with a better shopping experience, to inform our customers about our products that may be of interest to them, "taking into account the interests of our customers", to convey campaigns,

  • To increase customer satisfaction, to get to know our customers who shop from websites and/or mobile applications and to use them in customer environment analysis, to use them in various marketing and advertising activities, and to organize surveys in electronic and/or physical environments through contracted institutions in this context,

  • To be able to offer suggestions to our customers by our contracted institutions and solution partners, to inform our customers about our services,

  • To be able to evaluate customer complaints and suggestions about our services,

  • To fulfill our legal obligations and to use our rights arising from the current legislation,

  • To prevent fraud and other illegal activities.

The sharing of personal data of our customers with third parties takes place within the framework of the consent of the customers and as a rule, personal data is not transferred to third parties without the consent of our customers.

However, due to and limited to our legal obligations, personal data is shared with courts and other public institutions. E.g; obligatory invoice issued in your name, etc.

Necessary technical and legal measures are taken to prevent violations of rights during data transfer to third parties.  Your personal data, directly/indirectly to our domestic/foreign affiliates, with program partner institutions and organizations we cooperate to carry out our activities, domestic/foreign persons and institutions from which we get data storage services in the cloud environment, domestic/foreign organizations with which we have an agreement to send commercial electronic messages to our customers, Interbank Card It can be shared with its headquarters, with the banks we have contracted with, and with various domestic and foreign agencies, advertising companies and survey companies, other domestic/foreign third parties and our relevant business partners within the scope of various marketing activities in order to provide you with better service and ensure customer satisfaction.

  1. Personal Data Collection Method and Legal Reason:

Personal data is processed by the Sustainability Steps Association in accordance with the data provided by our customers, who make transactions from the www.awenforus.com website, the stores mobile applications, the consent of our customers and the provisions of the legislation. Personal data collected for the above-mentioned legal reasons can be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law and in this Clarification and Consent Text.

  1. Customers' Rights as Personal Data Owners:

Data owners pursuant to Article 11 of the Law;

  1. Learning whether personal data about them is processed,

  2. If personal data has been processed, requesting information about it,

  3. Learning the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with its purpose,

  4. Knowing the third parties to whom personal data is transferred at home or abroad,

  5. Requesting correction of personal data in case of incomplete or incorrect processing and requesting notification of the transaction made within this scope to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,

  6. Requesting the deletion or destruction of personal data in the event that the reasons requiring its processing cease to exist despite the fact that it has been processed in accordance with the provisions of the law and other relevant laws, and requesting that the transaction carried out within this scope be notified to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,

  7. It has the right to object to the emergence of a result against the person by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems and (viii) to demand the compensation of the damage in case of loss due to unlawful processing of personal data.

 

Requests regarding the exercise of the aforementioned rights can be submitted by the personal data owners by the methods specified in the Policy on the Processing and Protection of Personal Data under the Law No. 6698 by Awen for Us at the address www.awenforus.com.

 

Awen for Us will evaluate such requests and conclude them within 30 days. Sustainability Steps Association reserves the right to charge a fee based on the fee schedule (if any) determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.
